Richland and Maple elementary schools held graduation exercises last evening with diplomas awarded by Adolph Kirschenmann and Walter Zimmerman. Dr. Thomas MacQuarrie gave the address at Richland. musical numbers highlighted the program, and a long class roll followed. Stolen Ford Coupe Is Recovered After Wreck
A Ford coupe belonging to Jack Bell, stolen Sunday evening, was recovered but wrecked in a crash at Calloway Bridge east of town. Oklahoma transient Louis Ford confessed to involvement with a second suspect yet at large. Ford sustained injuries including a lost finger. the car owner faces a severe uninsured loss. Witnesses J J Siemens and G J Siemens observed the wreck. Officer Riley took Ford into custody after the wreck and injuries drew attention.

Potatoes Shipments Rise As Harvest Progresses
Potatoes continue to move fast with 317 cars shipped by Tuesday night and 292 cars remaining by midweek. Rail and truck shipments total 150 carloads of onions, while growers report two thirds of the harvest done and others in early stages. Daily shipments are expected to rise for some time.
