Seven Kern Academy Graduates Hold Commencement

Rites Held for Henry Wiebe Veteran Shafter Mennonite Leader
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm for Henry W. Wiebe of Delano a pioneer Kern County settler and longtime Shafter resident. The 60 year old died Monday from a kidney ailment. Burial at Shafter cemetery followed a service led by Rev H C Krehbiel of Reedley First Mennonite Church. Born in Minnesota he and his wife lived in Shafter most of 12 years there before moving to Delano four years ago. He once served as pastor of the First Mennonite and left two daughters Mrs I B and Mrs B.
