Hands on Law Day at Buttonwillow Substation Draws Crowd
About 150 adults and children attended the annual Law Enforcement and Fire Day at the Buttonwillow North Area Substation on May 14. Kern County Sheriff Mack Wimbish spoke with attendees as agencies including the Kern County Fire Department CHP Shafter Police Animal Control Mental Health Friday Night Live Program Buttonwillow Community Collaborative Parks and Recreation and sheriff units hosted demonstrations, prizes, and a barbecue with raffles for shirts caps backpacks tape players and six bicycles.
