Four vie for Kern County Fourth District supervisor seat
Four candidates contest the unexpired term of Harvey in Kern County's Fourth District. Hettinger, appointed in 1987, touts extensive county service and a focus on police, fire and roads with prudent budgeting. Opponents include Wasco farmer Paul Young, Taft resident Richard Casagrande, and Bakersfield’s Rod de Graaf, each pledging priorities from agriculture to public safety and cost cuts.
