Heart Gallery seeks forever homes for 22 Kern County children in foster care
The Heart Gallery A Gallery of Hope features 22 Kern County children awaiting adoption, each with struggles and stories. Coordinators say the project raises awareness of foster care needs, aims to connect families, and highlights the broader count of about 600 children in Kern County foster care while noting fewer than 400 foster homes. Local photographers contributed portraits and the gallery opened at the Junior League of Bakersfield on Feb 1 with several stops planned.
