Patricia Anderson Celebrates Sixth Birthday Party
Patricia Anderson daughter of Mr and Mrs T N Anderson celebrated her sixth birthday with a party at Manuel park last Saturday. Mrs Anderson was assisted by her daughter Carol who helped referee games. A picnic lunch and pink iced cake inscribed Happy Birthday were served. Attending were Kathy Anderson Claire Albright Kris Albright Janet Bongberg Mary Miller and Andrea Johnson.

Rio Bravo Parents and Kids Hold Annual Game
The Rio Bravo school held its annual mother-daughter and father-son softball games last week. Fathers beat their sons 14 to 9 while mothers lost to daughters 13 to 8. Mrs. Frank O'Neill Jr. P T A president and Mrs. John Walker helped serve refreshments supplied by P T A members.

Richland PTA Scout Troop outlines 1957 58 activities
Richland School PTA sponsored Boy Scout Troop 913 completed its first year with 25 members led by Scoutmaster Lew Sutton. Activities included district camporees earning ribbons, Shafter Scout-O-Rama narration, a Bakersfield parade, Lake Isabella training, and a Los Angeles Dodgers game trip. The troop helped with a Highway Safety Good Turn survey for missing or damaged street signs in Shafter.
