Kern County United Way chief leaves for Kansas post

Miriam Krehbiel, long time president of United Way of Kern County, will assume the presidency of United Way of Greater Topeka starting July 1. The Kansas native cites returning to family and new professional opportunities as reasons for departure after nine years guiding UWKC through transformation focused on homelessness mentorship and financial stability for low income families. Board Chair Tom Dorlis notes the transition will begin immediately with a search for a successor.
