Shafter AAUW Branch Meets For March And April Sessions
Shafter AAUW women gathered March 21 at Pat Goossen’s home for a morning coffee themed on Mother Teresa with a letter reading and costume enactment. Attendees included Pat Goossen, Margaret Acosta, Betty Petrie, Jane Martha DeVries, Sue Nash, and Claudine Saulsbury. A second meeting on April 17 at Margaret Acosta’s home reviewed The Reports. A project goal was to name a street for Julia Potter, a Shafter early organizer. May 16 plans call for a Bakersfield home gathering by Frances Garcia with invitations for new members.
