ISHS Spring Concert Tuesday May 17 at SHS Auditorium
The Shafter High School Music Department will present its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday May 17 at 7 30 p m in the SHS Auditorium under director Mike Hutchinson. Featured groups are SHS General Band Vocal Ensemble and Stage Band with selections including Bach Gershwin and Sousa numbers. Tickets $2 adults $1 children 12 and under 75 cents SHS students with ASB cards Tickets available from members and at the school office.

Shafter City Council Requests School District Water Savings
The Shafter City Council voted to request Richland School District to adopt water conservation measures. They cited 74 million gallons used in April and urged sprinkling system upgrades for campus grounds and reduced urinal water flow. A rate increase for Warner Cable was also discussed with a public hearing planned.
