Short Blamed For $900 Fire
A battery charger short last week triggered a chain reaction causing about $900 in fire damage at J. T. Thomas of 18271 Thomas Lane. County firemen say a three wheel electric car likely started the blaze, which burned a garage a cabin and a large amount of mile maize. Firemen saved two houses a chicken coop and more maize. A second fire from a burning cigarette caused $150 damage to upholstery in L. T. Townsend’s car on Central Avenue The town and county fire departments responded.
