Colonels Top Taft 6 1 In SSL Showdown
Johnny Bustos went 3 for 3 with two singles and a long homer to pace the Colonels to a 6 1 victory over Taft. Richie Escalante cleared the bases with a triple in the six run inning aided by Taft errors. Adelino Solorio walked two and struck out nine to win. Colonels host Corcoran Friday in a key SSL contest.

Ramirez earns first in Taft and Arvin races
Ramirez, a 50 year running veteran, claimed first in both Taft 8k and Arvin 10k events. He received a ribbon and plaque for his effort. In Arvin, Richard placed third overall in the 10k with a 36 37 time, while in Taft the 8k saw him post a 25 23 on the course.
