Dr and daughter Von of Sacramento visited the home of Jess Combs and his wife on Scaroni Avenue. They attended the funeral of Mrs Combs father Thomas Hale of Bakersfield last Monday.
The Shafter Public Utility District adopts ordinance charging monthly water rates for cooling and refrigeration devices. Rates apply per device type with deductions for entities showing water recirculation proof. The ordinance takes effect nine days after June 1955 with publication and posting requirements fulfilled.
