Rotary Club Members Share Life Sketches
Dr O G Ohlsson and Al Ingraham joined Shafter Rotary and gave brief life sketches at the Tuesday noon meeting. Ohlsson, born in New York in 1916, moved to Los Angeles nine years later and pursued medical study at Caltech and the College of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons while working for the Los Angeles Examiner and Pasadena Star-News. Ingraham, born in Texas, moved to California at nine and has led Belridge Oil Company’s purchasing department for 25 years in Kern County.

Kiwanis Club Hearing From John G. Terry Speaker
John G. Terry veteran of both world wars spoke to the Shafter Kiwanis Club about what the country must do to honor soldiers who fought in the wars. Terry has led Lions International and lives in Visalia. He is a Democratic candidate for Congress in the district. The meeting announced Kiwanis Ladies Night on May 20 at Caneño Motel with Dean James Mallock as guest speaker.
