Evers Reenlists In Marines From Shafter
Corporal Thomias Newton Evers reenlists in the regular Marine Corps for two years. A Shafter High School alumnus, he spent 20 months overseas with the 3rd Battalion, Second Marines, serving in Hawaii Iwo Jima and Japan. He holds the Presidential Unit Citation and various campaign ribbons. He will report to Mare Island after furlough.
