Revised Hunt Rules For 1971-72 Are Recommended
The California Department of Fish and Game proposes earlier statewide pheasant and north coast quail openings, higher bag limits for mountain quail chukar and rabbits, and a 4 1/2 month mountain lion season from November 18 to March 31. Lion hunting would be limited to one per season with no night hunting, and a broad set of closures around Yosemite Kings Canyon Sequoia and other parks would restrict pursuit from vehicles and in low lion population zones.
