Shatter Youths Begin Navy Boot Training

The South Shafter Public Utility District adopted an ordinance calling for a hearing on annexation at 3 p.m. on April 28. The proposed area is bounded by Shafter and Los Angeles avenues.

Airplane Spotters Prepare for Duty Saturday Mock Maneuver
Fresno area airplane spotters will serve Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. as part of a mock aerial maneuver planned by the Air Force. Local post commander P. L. Arnold said volunteers will monitor from the Fresno and Mannel avenues site at the Lachenmaier ranch.
