Beechie Fired Over Allegations Amid City Probe
Meetings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday were canceled as Beechie was fired on February 13 after a period on paid administrative leave. City Manager Wade McKinney says the dismissal was for cause, tied to alleged false statements about conversations with peace officer association members regarding a city employee matter connected to Greg Greeson. The investigation, by a Long Beach firm with city ties, has drawn criticism for non oath taken interviews and disputed witness statements.
