Alicia in Wonder Tierra staged at Shafter High
Shafter High students in drama and theater classes presented Alicia in Wonder Tierra as their spring production. The show opened Thursday at 7 p.m. with a two hour fiesta featuring food games and entertainment. Director Carla Stanley notes the story follows Alicia a spoiled Mexican American teen guided by Ramon the puppet through Wonder Tierra while avoiding the Elvira Cholo gang. The on stage audience sat in chairs for an intimate viewing experience.
