Kenneth R. Blinn, Clerk Administrator, explains juror calls occur only on Thursdays for trials at the Shafter Wasco Justice Court. Prospective jurors may be excused if they recently served, or due to hardship. Call 746-3815 to appear, usually check Wednesdays after lunch at 746-3312. Compensation is $5 daily plus 15 cents per mile. English proficiency required.

Steve Mann Honored Scout Leader and Church Minister
Steve Mann receives the District Award of Merit as Cub Pack 913 grows to over 60 members. He has served as Boy Scout Troop 913 chaplain and contributed to the Northern Training Committee and Cub Scout roundtable staff. He holds the Religious Emblem and Cub Scout Training Award and has coached soccer and Little League. Mann is the Church of Christ minister of Wasco and was honored at the 1979 Pro-Family Conference. He will attend Philmont Scouting Reservation this summer.
