Judges Approve Unification Of Kern County Courts
The Bakersfield Municipal Court votes unanimously to unify with Kern County Superior Court starting September 1, 1998 under Proposition 220. Nine of seventeen municipal judges support the move. a majority of superior judges must also approve by July 17 1998 for funding implications exceeding one million dollars annually.
