Summer Camping Signups For Shafter Scouts Reported
Shafter Boy Scout troops have registered for Camp Kern at Huntington Lake. Troop 953 from Shafter Rotary Club led by Don Zachary will camp July 18 to 25, Troop 913 from Richland PTA led by Vernie Parrett will camp August 1 to 8, and Troop 901 from Mennonite Brethren Church led by Doug Peters will also attend. Rate reductions totaling 5.3 million will be divided beginning July 1 among natural gas customers served by the Southern California and Southern Counties Gas Companies.
