Residents may see new potato varieties and talk with experts at the Kern County Potato Variety Trial Field Day, June 19 from 9 am to noon. Hosted by UC Cooperative Extension and California Potato Research Advisory Board, the event features Russets chips reds yellows and specialty varieties with field viewings and a chipper trial.
