Softball and baseball schedule highlights for mid June
The week long schedule lists Peewee league games across Lerdo, Shafter, Brown and Bryant, City Furniture, Rio Bravo and other teams with matchups at Diamonds 1 and 2 from June 15 through June 22. Junior baseball and girls league games also fill the week with several 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. starts.

Kern County Teachers Headed to National Education Association Meet
Kern County educators will be well represented at the 98th annual National Education Association convention in Los Angeles. Mrs Dorothy Guinn, newly elected Kern Division president, notes Beardsley School staff will attend as part of the Kern County delegation. The six day event runs Sunday June 26 through Friday June 1960, drawing about 20000 educators from all 50 states.

Wasco Annexation Resolution for Struempf Annex
The Wasco City Council adopts a resolution to annex land described from Lot 90 and Lot 91 in the Fourth Home Extension Colony to Wasco. A public hearing is set for July 18 1960 at 8 00 PM in City Hall. Written protests may be filed by property owners in the proposed area. Notices will be published locally and in out of city Kern County newspapers.
