California to add 500 plus swimming pools postwar
A prominent publication predicts over 500 public and private pools will be built in California within five years after the war. Editor Sylvan Hoffman foresees about 10 000 new pools nationwide in the first five postwar years due to armed forces swimming needs Red Cross training and water pollution. He says outdoor pools will edge indoor ones slightly and tile will dominate pool construction for sanitation.
