Canadian wedding plans noted in Shafter press
In June 1946 a Medicine Hat Canada bride wore a white wine suit and topper with a blue blouse and black board shoes. The wedding reception occurred at the Royal Palms Hotel in Los Angeles. Mr and Mrs E V Neuman plan a month of honeymooning in Canada after the ceremony.

Wheat Exports Remain Below Goal Amid Delayed Shipments
U S shipments of relief wheat and flour in the first 20 days of April totaled 7 million bushels, leaving 19 million short of the annual export commitment. Through April 20 only 1171/2 million bushels had been shipped, with 10742 million to ship in the next 70 days. Grain export supplies are expected to rise in May due to a 30 cents per bushel bonus for wheat and corn and a 25 percent reduction in flour distribution. USDA’s April 1 stocks report shows 3398 million bushels in all positions, with 204 million on farms, and a 40 percent drop versus last year.
