Rite Aid to Build Store on Central Avenue in Shafter
Rite Aid plans a 11500 sq ft store at the corner of Rosedale Highway and Allen Road, with a mid August building permit and opening slated for April 1999. The project follows several tenants vacating the 100 block of Central Avenue after the property was sold. The new store will offer a drive up pharmacy, expanded cosmetics, a One Hour photo service, a food mart, and a business center. Details from Rite Aid officials and local statements confirm construction in Shafter, with neighboring sites adapting in the interim.
