Custard Pies Banned From Sale In Summer Months
County health officer Dr. William Buss announced a ban on custard pies and cream filled pastries from June 1 through the summer due to food poisoning risks. State law regulates pastry preparation and sale to protect consumers, especially in hot weather when unrefrigerated products can harbor toxins.
