Aunt Grace Crisp a life of work and independence in Arkansas to California
Grace Louise Crisp born 1908 in Red Stripe Arkansas grew up in Fort Gibson Oklahoma where her father died young. She met Everett Mann while sewing and lace trimming, moved with him to Berger Texas then Shafter California where they raised a son and daughter. Everett died in 1961, Grace remarried in 1979 to Lester Lewis, later lived alone in Oildale. Her family now spans five generations and she fondly recalls discovering Santa Claus. A local singles group is forming and invites participation.
