Double funeral services were held Friday for two little girls, eight and ten, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Richert, who drowned in a reservoir on the Dan Mettler ranch near Edison. The service, conducted at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, was led by Elder C I Ling enfelter, with vocalists Elder and Mrs. L S Melindy Mo desto. The girls, who had parental permission to swim, died after attempts at artificial respiration in Arvin. Survivors include the parents, paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Richert, and maternal grandmother Mrs. Emma Mayer.
