The Class of 1983 reunion barbecue will be held at Lake Buena Vista in Pavilion B on June 25, 1988 starting at 12 p.m. A class photo is planned for 2 p.m. Attendees should bring their own picnic. a BBQ fire will be provided and the event runs all day. For details call 746-5118.
The campaign for Associated Student Body offices ended with Stephanie Tracy elected President and Mellisa Garner named Vice President. Kristen Zachery becomes Commissioner of Public Relations. Kevin Edgeman returns as Commissioner of Rallies. Kristian Krause handles Social Activities and Michelle Cummings Clubs. Livingston is re elected Commissioner of Girls Athletics and Bryan Nixon becomes Commissioner of Boys Athletics.
Stephanie Tracy of Shafter High School is selected by the Shafter American Legion Auxiliary as the Girl State Representative for the 1988 session at Fresno State University. Cheryl Harmer and Noelani Livingston are alternates. selection cites leadership, character, scholarship, service, and citizenship.
Lew Sutt on retires after 33 years in Richland School District retiring as eighth grade American History teacher. He started in 1955 and has taught the same district for two decades. A library tea on June 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. and a dinner dance June 4 from 6 30 to 11 p.m. at Hill House Bakersfield are planned for friends and former students.
