Shafter High softball team season overview
Noe starred as catcher and led with strong communication with pitchers and base runners. Stephanie Tracy moved to varsity catcher mid-season and led putouts. Buffee Keeton moved to second base after injury with a .191 batting average. Carla Bailey provided leadership and robbed many would-be extra-base hits. Shawna Tazioli hit .295 with solid on base. Ellen Fink, Julie Escalante, Jeni, Jennifer Sutton, Heather Smith, Lisa Rodriguez, Claudia Schievelbien, and Vickie Shoenhair contributed across positions and reflected team growth and attitudes for next year.
