Mettler Family Celebrates 25th Anniversary Open House
A. H. and Mrs. Mettler marked a quarter century of marriage with an open house hosted by children Barbara Lawrence and Robert Mettler on July 24. Guests included Rev. Funck, many Bakersfield and Shafter residents, and relatives from nearby towns. Gifts and cards arrived from absent family members while a pink rose decorated cake and silver top ornament highlighted the reception.
