Wabbits Hat meeting and highway talk mix with political anecdotes
Residents attend Wabbits Hat meeting at the Building on August 1 at 8:00 p.m. Local routes for a four lane freeway near North Central Valley Highway and Los Angeles intersect Beech, with two U shaped options via Poplar and Scaroni. Mayor Grundy notes both routes are nearly free of construction hindrances and planning advances to 1963. The piece weaves in remarks by Mr. Gange of the Pacific Olive Co. about the Democratic Convention and Texas delegation, plus anecdotes about Kennedy and a rocket test, ending with a prompt to identify the creator of The Little Bear and Tigers comic feature from 1892.
