PG&E to Drain Courtright Reservoir for Dam Maintenance
PG&E will drain Courtright Reservoir on the upper Kings River by September 1 to allow routine maintenance on the dam face. The 123000 acre foot reservoir now holds about 45000 acre feet and will be reduced to 132 acre feet, with water stored behind Wishon Dam for power generation and Pine Flat storage. Water release has approval from the State Department of Fish and Game as crews seal leaks in the concrete facing.
