Shafter to open NHS clinic in old city hall
City Manager Wade McKinney says the Shafter City Council will redeploy the 146000 purchase price from the old city hall into the development budget with no earmarked use, potentially funding downtown projects. The 1954 building, once police quarters, will be remodeled by new owner into a health clinic with four exam rooms and a lab.
