Summertime Car Show at Kern County Fairgrounds
The 6th annual Pepsi Summertime Car Show and Sound-off in Bakersfield features 500 plus privately owned autos from Kern County, with 8,000 expected attendees. The event runs August 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kern County Fairgrounds picnic area. New contests include Jr Miss Summertime Bikini, Jr Mister Great Legs, and Miss Summertime Bikini with major prizes. Mr Great Legs offers up to $500. Club challenges, dealer displays, and MADD presence accompany vendor booths and food stalls. Entry fee is $20 per vehicle, $6 admission for adults, free for under 12. entries due July 31, 1987.
