No Man's Land Up Again In Rocky Mountains
A half century boundary dispute between Colorado and New Mexico surfaces as Arthur D. Kidder reports only 95 miles remain to survey. Costs totaled about 24,270 dollars for Colorado and 24,284 dollars for New Mexico with field work extending from the northeast corner of New Mexico westward to the 236th mile corner. The survey traces back to 1868, with later lines laid by Carpenter and Darling, and a Supreme Court case still on the docket.

In Columbus Ohio workers drilling on the London Water Company grounds unearthed Indian arrowheads at a depth of 90 feet. The find raises questions about ancient peoples in Ohio prior to the glacial era and whether early man inhabited the region before major geological changes.
