Agencies unite to aid Bakersfield Rescue Mission crisis
Kern County Homeless Collaborative researchers and Rescue Mission staff reduced beds from 211 to 150 and continue outreach for nearly 100 homeless men. Seventeen agencies including Clinica Sierra Vista and Catholic Charities coordinate housing, benefits, and counseling with ongoing intake every other Thursday and monthly meetings to sustain housing placements.
