Megan's Law shows impact of sex offender notices in California
The document cites multiple examples where public bulletins and CD-ROM listings helped identify high risk and serious sex offenders. Instances include a 14 year old girl avoiding a vehicle after recognizing a flyer, a bus driver under probe for molesting disabled children, and neighbors discovering local offenders online. Attorney General Dan Lungren argues Megan's Law informs families and aids prevention across California communities.
