Kern County Potato Growers foresee two more weeks of Kern deal shipments
Francis Pusateri of the Kern County Potato Growers Association says shipments will continue for about two weeks past July 3, with about 19 800 cars by rail and 6 700 by truck. Eastern markets boosted demand this spring, lifting prices and reducing rollovers as growers followed a new marketing program focusing on top quality and regulated sizes.
