April 1999 building valuations rose or fell across multiple cities. Eighty five year old Edward Eschman known as Ed has long built a career in oil and farming while pursuing church life. Born June 14 1914 in Kern Academy area he moved to Oklahoma then returned to Shafter working for Joe Guimarra and later Belridge Oil Company. He endured health issues including a triple by pass in 1974 and a heart attack in 1984. Now in retirement he crafts plastic canvas art with his wife whose works have appeared at the Kern County Fair. The couple has two children Jim Eichman and Barbara Salinas.
