Shafter Merchants Seek Community Aid For Second Half Season
The Shafter Merchants seek local financial support to continue a baseball season as they plan at least five or six home games in the second half. Donations should be made to the chamber of commerce baseball fund while fans anticipate a 8:30 p.m. game against Mountain View at Sam Lynn Park Bakersfield and a 2:30 p.m. Sunday match with McFarland. The drive aims to keep the team in the running for the trophy as the first half ends.
