Richland School District Plans Ten Year Facility Expansion
The master plan outlines facility needs based on current and future residential growth over the next decade. Projections show elementary enrollment rising from 2336 in 2007-08 to 3481 in 2016-17 and junior high from 697 to 853. The district plans modernization at Redwood and Golden Oak, a fourth elementary site by 2013-14, a new junior high east of Central Valley Highway, a new district office, and a maintenance center, funded by state money, district reserves, developer-initiated districts, and a forthcoming general obligation bond.
