Richland Lerdo District to Restore Richland Name
At a regular meeting the Richland Lerdo School Board voted to restore the district name to Richland School District. After a brief closed session, the board unanimously chose Lyte Mack as incoming superintendent when Dr. Daniel Knapp retires. Mack, a 28 year district employee, will assume duties May 15 2000. a three year contract is planned for Feb 22. The Lerdo School sale to Shafter closed on the hyphenated name and the July 1 2000 fiscal year start will implement the change.
