Eight Children Mourn Father Leroy W. Sowder
Eight young children lose support after the death of Leroy W. Sowder 36 of 390 Terra Vista Lane from a heart attack. Funeral services were held last Monday at Armstrong Mortuary with Rev. Sam Wilcoxin officiating. Burial followed in Shafter Cemetery. Sowder, born December 16 1918 in Okemah Oklahoma, lived in Shafter ten years and worked as a farm laborer. Survivors include his widow Tone three sons Calvin Lonnie and Bill and five daughters Dorothy Joyce Ann Kay and Gail.
