Rite Aid Opens New Shafter Store With Customer Focus
Rite Aid in Shafter features a drive thru window and pharmacist consultation room, wider aisles and brighter lighting. The store echoes downtown with a mural of Stringham's Shafter Drug Store, honoring the town's early pharmacy history. The project began after Rite Aid bought the property in 1998 and broke ground May 5, 2006, integrating Ted Wiedmann and Mert Wiedmann who led the Stringham’s Drug Store team that operated since 1919.
