Seven crimes were reported in the Shafter area last week with no fire alarms. Joel Gena, 39, of Blue Moon Ranch, was arrested on the 30th for drunkenness, fined 25 dollars, and given 30 days suspended for two years. Jay T. Burchett, 34, of Shafter, was arrested on December 31 for drunk driving and license violation, out on 250 dollars bail, to appear January 7. Joseph Y. Hambhrick, 47, of the North Labor Camp, arrested New Year’s Day for drunkenness, out on 150 dollars bail, to appear January 6. Ray Ellis Hambrick, 20, arrested New Year’s Day for drunkenness, out on 50 dollars bail, to appear January 6.
