Funeral services were held for Nelly Catherine Lassiter 83 who died February 21. Officiating was Rev. David Morris at the Church of Christ in Shafter with interment at Shafter Memorial Park. Born May 18, 1900 in Monticello Kansas, she moved to California in 1917 and settled in Shafter in 1939. Survivors include sister-in-law Nellie Coker of Los Angeles and four cousins.
