Veteran Shafter Generals Eye SSL Baseball Title
Veteran Shafter Generals with seven returning lettermen, led by senior Dave Nash, aim for the South Sequoia League baseball title. The team features speed, defense, and a strong hitting projection, but pitching is a question mark with five pitchers and only Williams under varsity pressure. Shafter opens March 1 at Corcoran and hosts Delano March 3. other non league games include Burroughs and Porterville.
