Elder Visits Deaf Blind Philosopher in New York
Elder John Baerg of Shafter visited Miss Helen Keller in New York City. Despite her age she remains strong as she prepares for a five month lecture tour starting in February to aid the sightless. Keller lost sight and hearing after infancy and learned through Anne Sullivan. Polly Thompson aids Keller as she communicates, and Keller will receive Baerg’s autograph after a trip to India.
